Frosty Fest – Gurnee Park District

On Saturday, Jan. 11, Bittersweet Golf Course will turn into a winter wonderland for Frosty Fest. Dress for the weather, as the event takes place outdoors starting at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m.

Dinosaur Adventure is an all new, one of a kind exhibit featuring realistic, life-sized dinosaurs that come alive with their life-like movement and roars.

 

 

 


Family Yoga – Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

Join us for an energizing indoor family-friendly yoga class! Practice your turtle pose, then meet one of the Nature Museum’s box turtles during a special animal encounter.

 

 

 


Family Day Treasure Box – Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago

What do you keep in the special box under your bed? Explore collecting and geometry with teen urban designers from Territory, Poems While You Wait, and more. Family Days are free monthly programs for kids and their grown-ups.

 

 

 


Christmas Tree Plundering – Swedish American Museum

Julgransplundring is a family event where Swedes celebrate the end of Christmas by “dancing the tree out” It is a party where you get to dance around the tree one last time before it is taken out and all the Christmas decorations come down.
