Product Review: Authentic Me: Elements for Girls

How are you supporting your daughters on their path to explore, embrace and empower their true, authentic selves? Authentic Me, a local Downers Grove company created a fun way for tween and young teen girls to explore the important aspects of growing up. It’s called Elements for Girls, and combines a thought-provoking journal with a bead bracelet kit. As chapters for self-discovery are completed, girls use the creative kit to design their own unique bracelet, which serves as a reminder to of their growth.

Authentic Me Elements for Girls

The company was founded by two moms who are trying to combat the negative impact of “relational aggression” (bullying) on girls in school. In addition to the Elements self-discovery book, the moms offer book clubs for girls and workshops for parents in the Chicago area.
