The eighth annual Junior Tour de Naperville

August 14
Hosted by the Naperville Park District, the event gives kids, ages 3 to 12, the opportunity to ride their bicycles, big wheels or tricycles around the 1.2-mile trail, cheered on by family and friends.

 


Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission – Elmhurst History Museum

Saturday, July 24, 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
Destination Moon examines the mission and recognizes the sacrifices and devotion of more than 400,000 people employed in NASA programs who worked through the trials, tragedies and triumphs of the 20 missions from 1961 to 1969 before Apollo 11. Free.

 


Horseback Trail Rides – Forest Trails Trail Rides

July – November, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Enjoy a scenic walk on horseback through wooded trails in Chicago’s west suburbs. Forest Trails Trail Rides offers 50-minute, guided trail rides for riders age 8 and up on gentle horses with experienced guides. Appointments are required. Rides cost $50 with a $20 booking deposit.

 


Eid Fest – DuPage County Fairgrounds

July 23 – 25, 11:00 am – 9:00 pm
Eid Fest is a celebration of Eid and a joyous occasion. Thousands of people come together from across the Chicagoland area to celebrate with us. Our goal is a united celebration of Eid that brings smiles to everyone’s faces. Admission: $2.00.

 


Free Concerts in the Park – Zydeco Voodoo

Friday, July 23, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Zydeco Voodoo plays a mix of traditional New Orleans music and popular rock and blues songs adapted to the Zydeco style. The music is family-friendly and encourages audience participation by dancing, singing along and playing percussion instruments. Free.
