Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago strives to be equally available to guests with any level of physical, visual, auditory, or cognitive challenge. Our facility and exhibits were designed using the principles of universal design.
The Museum has developed a Parents Guide to Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago, in collaboration with North Shore Pediatric Therapy, to help parents and their children choose the exhibits they want to visit. The guide is available for checkout at the Ticketing Desk or for download below.

Kohl Children’s Museum is conveniently located at the intersection of Patriot Boulevard and West Lake Avenue on The Glen in Glenview. The Museum is located between Willow Road and Lake Avenue, and between routes I-94 and I-294.
BY CAR
From 294: Take Willow Road exit heading east for 2 1/2 miles, then turn right onto Patriot Boulevard.
From 94 northbound: Take Lake Avenue West exit heading west for 3 miles, then turn right onto Patriot Boulevard.
From 94 southbound: Take Skokie Road exit, turn immediately right at Lake Avenue, head west for 3 miles, then turn right onto Patriot Boulevard.
BY METRA
The Museum is served by the Milwaukee District North Line, which has terminus points at Fox Lake and Chicago’s Union Station. Disembark at the North Glenview station and walk 1/2 mile west on West Lake Avenue to Patriot Boulevard.
BY CTA/PACE BUS
The Museum is served by the Pace Bus Route 423, which has terminus points at the Linden Purple Line Station and the Harlem Blue Line Station. Please note buses run Monday - Friday only.
